Miche's Filipino Cuisine is located in the Lucky's Shopping Center off Mission Street in Daly City. The owner, Cesar Gonzales, is a tireless worker with many years of experience at the swanky Carnelian Room. After years of waiting for the "right time" and dreaming of starting a Filipino restaurant, he branched out to pursue his passion, naming the place "Miche's" after his daughter Michelle. Cesar has kept the crepe and mochi ball drink items from the former tenant, Q Cups. It made sense. The machines were already there and with Jefferson High right down the street,there's a natural clientele. But at Miche's, those items take a back seat to Cesar's focus; traditional Filipino food with a unique sensibility derived from years of experience. He wants to cook for you, put a smile on your face, and bring warmth to your belly. Don't let the strip mall setting, the funky green walls, or even the banquet chairs fool you. It doesn't matter if you've never tried Filipino food beyond Lumpia or know it well, Miche's is definitely worth a try. Miche's also welcomes catering and pick-up orders for your special events.
